VPS ALL BACKUP is a private, self-managed utility used by the VPS owner to create encrypted backups and store them in the owner's Google Drive account. This page explains the intended handling of data and Google account authorization.
What data the utility accesses
The utility uses Google OAuth to obtain access to Google Drive files it creates or is authorized to manage for backup purposes. It uploads encrypted Restic repository data and may list, update, or delete those repository files as part of configured backup maintenance.
How backups are protected
Backup data is encrypted on the VPS by Restic before transmission. The encryption password is managed separately from Google Drive. Access to the Google account does not by itself decrypt backup contents.
Storage and retention
Encrypted backup data is stored in the owner's Google Drive. Backup retention is configured by the owner. The utility may create local temporary backup files on the VPS during operation. The site itself does not provide access to backup contents.
Authentication credentials
Google OAuth tokens are intended to be stored in restricted configuration files on the owner's VPS and used only to operate this backup integration. OAuth credentials and backup encryption passwords must not be placed in any public GitHub repository.
Sharing and advertising
This utility is not a public service, does not sell personal data, and does not use Google Drive data for advertising or unrelated profiling. Backups are sent to the owner's authorized Google Drive storage, not to this website.
Public website
These public information pages have no registration form, analytics scripts, or custom tracking cookies. GitHub Pages, which hosts this website, may process standard request information subject to its own privacy policies.
Revoking access
The account owner can disconnect the utility by removing its OAuth permission from Google Account settings. Previously uploaded encrypted backups may remain in Google Drive until deleted by the owner.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated if the utility's operation changes. For questions or concerns, contact the developer through the project's GitHub Issues page or the support contact displayed on the Google OAuth consent screen.
